Picture this. You’re holidaying abroad with your mates and the UFC is about to start. You’re the hero of the trip as you have got your UFC Fight Pass so you can stream the event. All the mates are gathered, beverages in hand. You open UFC.tv, then you are hit with a message saying you are unable to view the event as it is not available in your country.

You go from hero to zero in a matter of seconds and the gang has reason to be angry as they’re about to miss a Fight Night!

As usual, there is no shortage of drama currently in the UFC. Ben Askren has lived up to his reputation after finally joining, but not without controversy following referee Herb Dean arguably calling an early end to his fight with Robbie Lawler.

This was written just before Fight Night 146 with Junior dos Santos looking to regain his Heavyweight title, but he has a few obstacles to navigate. Firstly, he has to deal with a hot-under-the-trunks Derrick Lewis who will be looking to reassert himself as a top contender following his loss to Daniel Cormier. How to Navigate Past the Region Block

The UFC Fight Pass allows access for viewers from every major country (except Brazil), however, streaming times differ, so you may not always get a live experience.

If you are using UFC.tv as your streaming service you may struggle as it is restricted to use from the United States. The easiest way to navigate past this is a VPN. Through the use of a VPN, you can change the location of your IP address to the United States bypassing the region lock placed on you by being abroad.

Where to Get a VPN?

VPNs are super easy to download and set up and a quick search will provide you with many options of varying prices. Go with whichever VPN you feel fits best, but personally, I believe your best bet is to go with either ExpressVPN or NordVPN.

As with most things, you get what you pay for but I believe these two are the most comprehensive when it comes to value for money. As a big sports fan living abroad, I can’t speak highly enough as I can satisfy my sporting cravings legally and for minimal cost.

Upcoming UFC Events

Here is a list of upcoming UFC events so you don’t miss out on a thing.

Let me know your thoughts on the upcoming Fight Nights, or perhaps a bit of discussion on the results. As for me, I’m going to be sitting back reliving the glory days of “Big Country” Roy Nelson.
